If a Broward Teachers Union member is called in to a supervisor’s office for a meeting that will be disciplinary in nature, he/she will have the right to representation.

Members should ask to have the meeting rescheduled at a time their representative can be present.  Next, members should contact their steward or call the Union office immediately and ask for help.

If members are the subject of an investigation and asked to give a statement, they should tell the investigator that they will cooperate, as soon as their union representative is present. Then they should immediately contact the Union.
