BTU Vice President Bernie Schultz urged the School Board to not approve layoffs for nearly 400 Broward educators.

  

School Board Impasse Hearing 2009

Thousands of members rallied before the  Impasse Hearing in late March where school board members voted 8-1 to  deny teachers a guaranteed pay raise for the 2009-2010 school year.
