"Bullying" Complaints

Michael Marchetti has been exposing waste and corruption at the Broward County School Board for more than a decade -- but only recently was he honored for it. 

At the beginning of October, the FBI gave Marchetti, a maintenance supervisor at the district, an award for his "outstanding assistance" in investigations. (Video)

The BTU Unity Video celebrates the ability of union members to stand united and speak with one voice. The BTU would like to thank the many union and community members who participated in the Fight for Our Future Protest, but equally important continue the stand together to promote strong public schools.

Union and community members have been supporting smart solutions for Broward kids and fighting the poor choices of district officials all year! The 2009-2010 school year brought massive budget cuts including reductions to library media, art, music, physical education and guidance counseling programs as well as state legislation that would be detrimental to our public schools. This clip is just a small compilation of BTU and community members standing up for public schools, students and the arts.
